We're expanding our personal goal to $1,000 to be one of the top fundraisers for the Oregon / SW Washington AHA Walk!

Thank you for supporting Jen, Milo, and the CareOregon team.  We're walking for our own health (Milo loves a parade!) and to support the great work of the American Heart Association.  The AHA Heart and Stroke walk is personally meaningful.  We are walking in memory of Jen's mother-in-law who recently passed away after experiencing multiple strokes and vascular dementia. 

Per the AHA, nearly 19% of stroke survivors develop dementia. That is an 80% greater dementia risk than the general population, increasing to 150% in those who had a bleeding stroke. 

 

The AHA does critical work spreading awareness and funding research to both prevent and treat strokes and heart attacks.
